But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Hebrews 11:6
This scripture reveals a couple of truths which might shock us.
Many people believe in God, however they do not believe God, which a little different.
Once we have given our lives to Him, we are to live a life of faith…that is, when we read the scriptures we are to believe them. It is normal to have questions about a lot of things, providing we are also searching or asking for an answer and not remaining in a state of doubting its truth.
Then, once we have decided to believe, if we don’t know all the answers it doesn’t matter. God will reveal them to you in due course, either through our reading and prayer or through someone else. He will open up scripture for us, and we will see it like we have never seen it before.
The second thing is, our life is to be given over to the desire to always be seeking him…toward and ever-closer relationship, based on knowledge and understanding.
