Swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath

Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:

James 1:19

Even if we got these three simple things right every day, life would be so much more peaceable for our communities. We would have less arguments at work, less family squabbles, there would be far less off-the-cuff backhanded remarks, less grievances, less umbrage taken, and more wisdom and care delivered in speech, email and letter.
