KEY SCRIPTURE: Gensis 1:31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
RELEVANCE How often have you thought of how much joy the Lord got in making the earth and all its inhabitants?
Looking closely at God's responses to Job's self-righteousness in Job 38 and onwards, we see scripture laced with God's joy and satisfaction with His creation. Genesis Chapter 1 gives a summary, but we see more detail in the Book of Job. Yes, God spoke the world into being, but here we see the intricacies and a hint of the detail He put into His work.
In Genesis 1:31, God said He looked over His work and saw that it was very good. He was pleased, as we all are when we check over our works of joy that we've put great effort into. When we have that glow of satisfaction, and a smile beams across our face.
Here is a random collection of verses picked from Job 38 & 39, showing the complexities of design. When we look at this and believe it, there is no room for the folly of Evolution.
1. Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? Tell Me, if you have understanding.
5 Who determined its measurements? Surely you know!
7 When the morning stars sang together, And all the sons of God shouted for joy?
8 Or who shut in the sea with doors, When it burst forth and issued from the womb;
9 When I made the clouds its garment, And thick darkness its swaddling band;
22 Have you entered the treasury of snow, Or have you seen the treasury of hail,
24 By what way is light diffused, Or the east wind scattered over the earth?
28 Has the rain a father? Or who has begotten the drops of dew?
29 From whose womb comes the ice? And the frost of heaven, who gives it birth?
Job 39
1 Do you know the time when the wild mountain goats bear young?
13. The wings of the ostrich wave proudly, But are her wings and pinions like the kindly stork's?
19. Have you given the horse strength? Have you clothed his neck with thunder?
26. Does the hawk fly by your wisdom, And spread its wings toward the south?
27. Does the eagle mount up at your command, And make its nest on high? Job 40:2 “Shall the one who contends with the Almighty correct Him? He who rebukes God, let him answer it.”
Considering God's handiwork and His hopes for it all, our role is to remain humble and continue seeking His holiness, righteousness, and Kingdom.
Here is yet another reason to praise our mighty God today.
PRAYER Dear Lord, your words in Job make the world seem so small. Yet, I am a mere speck on the earth. After reading this, how can man ever worship the creation and not the creator?
