Key Scripture Luke 19:10
For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.

Are you getting all you can out of the Holy Spirit?
A few days ago, I watched a rerun of The Cross and The Switchblade, an autobiography about American Evangelist David Wilkerson. He is the person who set up Teen Challenge.
I first saw it in 1970 when Uncle Norm and Aunt Elsie took me and their two girls (my cousins) from Sydenham to the Balwyn Cinema on Whitehorse Road (Victoria). By today's movie standards, it would rate a low G. But, at the time, it was closer to a B, with Pat Boone and Erik Estrada playing the key roles.
This time, I removed my film critic's cap and lapped up how Wilkerson followed the Lord's calling. He moved from a comfortable pastoral position 500 Km away to putting his life on the line daily with the gangs of New York.
If we're faithful, we go where the Holy Spirit needs us. Wilkerson felt the unction and faithfully followed Him into a fire that burned as fiercely as the one that temporarily housed Shadrack, Meshach and Abednego, just differently.
Many in Wilkerson's new circle were lost but getting found. The Holy Spirit was working everywhere in this movie, especially in people's hearts, where He does some of His best work.
In these days of doctors and specialists for everything associated with human life, we can often neglect the work and power of the Holy Spirit. When we come to Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit enters and, from there, can strengthen and prepare us for every battle. But we need to give over to Him.
Real life saw Wilkerson bring drug addicts, warmongers, alcoholics and an abundance of other sufferers to the Lord, and the Holy Spirit cleaned and straightened them up just as thoroughly as He did with Mary Magdalene.
The Holy Spirit loves that work. He is the specialist at inner transformation and creating power within repentant individuals. He loves to see people change from unenlightened beings to vessels living and thriving in God's supreme love.
If we are not getting all we can from the Holy Spirit, we need to ask for more—to converse with the Lord, who is waiting for our call.
However, remember what the Lord told us in 1 Peter 1:15-17 But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation (Manner of life or conduct); Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.
The Lord probably won't give you much if your life is a lie. So, make some better decisions and clean the parts of your life that are letting you down.
Then, allow the Holy Spirit to do His job properly by pouring HImself into you, as He did with the gangs of New York.
Prayer
Praise you, Father, for the Trinity's love for people. The precious inworking of the Holy Spirit is unimaginable, like most of His manifestations, but thank you so much for the life-changing experiences. I remain in awe.
