KEY SCRIPTURE: PSALM 125:1-2
They that trust in the Lord shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever. As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the Lord is round about his people from henceforth even for ever.
RELEVANCE
You've sung the song for years. Look closely at King David's confidence.
They that trust in the Lord CANNOT be removed—from their set path, from the love of God, from the blessed assurance of Salvation, from the Book of Life. How magnificent to have such certainty that nothing can change God's decree once you set your heart to trust in the Lord.
The foundation and conviction of Job 13:15 Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: comes to life in David's psalm.
To erode or change this certainty, the enemy needs to get at your trust. If he can't—if your trust is firm in the Lord Jesus Christ, that trust is honoured and protected by the Lord Himself.
Trust has its own reward, and God presents it.
This is a short but powerful message to praise the Lord and place all your trust in Him.
PRAYER
Father, thank you so much for your faithfulness to those who trust you. You set the example for us to earn the trust of others. Thank you for such an exhilarating and solid future.
